Hang on to your seats, ‘cuz this cookbook is going to rock your world! Against All Grain, by Danielle Walker is full of phenomenal mouth-watering photos with recipes that taste as good as they look. I got to see a sneak peak of Danielle’s book photos when we met at Pekoe with Elana earlier this year, and I have been so anxiously awaiting the arrival of this, her first cookbook, ever since!
I first became a fan of Danielle’s when THIS bread recipe went viral. I made it and fell in love. I was hooked. Her cookbook features that famous bread as well as 125 never-before-published recipes from small bites to baking to the main event, and lets not forget dessert.
One of my favorite chapters is “basics”. This chapter includes Mayonnaise, Basil-Thyme Vinaigrette, Asian Pear Chutney, Fig Jam, Tomato Ketchup, Blueberry Preserves, Pico de Gallo, Pineapple Salsa, and more.
But what have I made so far (in like 24 hours!)? First I made macadamia waffles. Oh. My. Goodness. They are out-of-this-world. Then tonight I made hamburger buns. To quote Zoe: “These are the best burgers EVER.” We loved them. A lot.
