Ashley's Smoothie

In this video Ashley and I make her smoothie. She likes to have this smoothie as soon as she wakes up in the morning.

My blender: Blendtec

My: BPA-Free Freezer Trays With Lids

My: Groovy Stainless Steel Straws

I just wanted to let you know what an inspiration you are to me, you do a phenomenal job with recipes. I think everyone should do this kind of cooking/baking.

Gosh that looked very good. Now if I could just get my daughter to try something like that. I have been trying for 3 years now to get her to drink a smoothie even an all fruit one and she does not like it. She always wants to make one but wont take more then 1 sip.

I'm surprised you don't have a Vitamix :)

I love smoothies, but usually use homemade kefir to get them going, as you said. Have been looking for a dairy free alternative that would tempt my 4 boys!
Blessings!

Hi,
I can't wait to try this smoothie out on my 7 yr old boy who has autism. We still have not been able to get him to eat veggies, but he will drink chocolate greens smoothies with some nagging. Great idea about the vitamin C, which these kids really need for detox.

Ha ha ha from the Amazon listing: "Specially designed for making fresh-frozen baby in quantity and at home" I guess they didn't proofread : )

That's great! My kiddos love green smoothies, too. I even let my daughter take my Blend Tec to school last year for a demonstration. She made her green smoothie for the class. Yes, I was brave letting her take my blender! LOL. I really enjoy your blog.

Thanks for the EmergenC tip! We make this smoothie almost exactly using Kale & Spinach for greens. My kids love it!
