I plan on baking and eating most of the pumpkins we grew in our garden this year, but I also wanted to save a few for the table. =) It looks pretty without dishes, above, and with dishes, below.
We aren't planning a party, nor do we have guests coming for dinner in the near future—The greenery, pumpkins and apples are for our enjoyment alone.
But when company does come we'll be ready. Or not, if Ashley eats all the apples first ;-)
Lucky for me, orange is my favorite color =) It's scattered all around
my house.
my house.
Fall is my favorite time of year. I can't get enough of it.

Hi Kelly!
I am a mom of a sweet 8 year old boy on the spectrum and your recipes have been a life saver! I have only put him on GFCF and low glycemic (candida issues) this past June. If there had been a website like yours when he was little maybe I would not have waited so long to try it! Anyway I have a question for you. How do you handle Halloween with your girls? My son knows what he's missing and I've ordered natural candy that he can trade with me, and I will bake whatever I can to be low sugar. I just wondered what other Mom's do who have to say no to the HF corn syrup and sugar, and food coloring loaded treats. Thanks for all your hard work and your cookbook!
Really pretty! I hadn't thought about apples. Just have pumpkins and orange candles serving as decor right now. Am inspired to embellish. ;-).
How very lovely, Kelly! Your house is always so cheery and attractive, but especially with the pumpkins, apples, and greenery. :-)

I make candy that is very low sugar, like these.
And these.
As for the trick-or-treat candy: I buy it from them for 10 cents per candy. Then we go to a store to buy a small toy with the money =)
love the table...its very warm and so inviting. Great!
Aloha Kelly
Your table settings are always so beautiful... Thanks for sharing all the wonderful recipes and ideas.
Beautiful table decorations! Bright and cheery, yet comforting, too. Perfect for the fall.
Thank you Kelly! I never thought of trading for money, just more acceptable candy. I like that idea! And I will definitely try the treats you linked. Thank you!
your table looks absolutely gorgeous! WOW. it is like delicious food for my eyes the way the rich colours interact with each other :)
I love that you did it for your own enjoyment!
Kelly--I love your table! Fall is my favorite. I'm going to be making somewhat sugar free candy corn for my sister for decorating a glass pumpkin bowl as the centerpiece for our table. Thank you so much for sharing!
Orange is my favorite color too. Love.
